How the recommendation works
Height is the starting value. Two factors act on it: ability and age group. If your first ski days are still ahead of you, you ski shorter — short skis turn more easily and forgive more. If you ski fast on hard snow, you ski longer, because a longer ski runs calmer at speed.
The result is deliberately a ten-centimetre range and not a single number. Depending on the model, two or three lengths fall inside that range, and which one is right depends on the ski itself.
